Our Response to Thy Kingdom Come

Reverend Yvonne as Area Dean and Diana are, as part of Thy Kingdom Come, prayer walking Richmond Denaery from Ascension day until Pentecost. As we begin in each church building we pray for the communities, the specific needs and for The Kingdom of God to come among us:

Day two began a little later on Friday 26th May, where Yvonne, Diana, Lynda, Brian and Sheila all met at 08.00 to pray in the church of St Paul, Brompton on Swale, after which we walked over Catterick Race Course, down to The church of St Anne, Catterick Village. We then walked back up to Catterick Bridge, and over to Fort Bridge where we were thrilled to see the excavations of the Roman Remains, along with some wonderful modern day childrens art work. We walked over the temporary bridge which spans the A1 and onto colburn and up to Hipswell where we were welcomed by three wonderful ladies who met us with cold drinks and the chance to sit and pray in the church of St John. We were joined by Anthea and Mandy as we walked down over the fields to the old railway track where we said goodbye to Anteha and Mandy and said hello to Neil, Jacob and Joseph. We walked back on the railway track, over the bridge and to the church of St Agatha.
