"In light of the Government guidance around non-essential contact, the Archbishops of Canterbury and York have issued advice that public worship is suspended until further notice."
"Churches should be open where possible but with no public worship services taking place. Prayers can be said by clergy and ministers on behalf of everyone and churches should consider ways of sharing this with the wider community."
For more information please refer to the Church of England website
For us in Easby, Skeeby, Brompton on Swale and Bolton on Swale this means that all acts of collective worship and events are postponed until further notice.
All groups using St Paul's church have now postponed events until further notice, though the church will be open on a daily basis as is St Mary's and, after Friday 20th March, St Agatha in Easby as well.
It also means that all the Lent Lunches, the Hub café, Churches Together Lent group, Open Table, God and Popcorn and House group meetings are postponed. We will be looking into ways that we can continue to worship and share our faith - albeit remotely. So please continue to check the web site.
